Casey Kimzey and Megan Frodsham are our first Athletes of the Week for the 2010 season based upon their performances at the Cedar All-Comers meet.
Casey is a Sophomore who raced well and secured the 7th Varsity spot for the first part of the season. He is a strong runner who is determined to hold the position throughout the season. The most important thing Casey is getting is experience that will help a lot as he moves up to a scoring position next year (and maybe later this year!). Hopefully the fact that Casey received this recognition is proof enough that Coach Holt doesn't hate everything related to soccer!
Megan's story is very impressive. She has worked extremely hard since joining the team last year as a Freshman to make our team and herself as good as possible. Not only has she recruited many other runners, her determination has paid off in her own running as she set a big PR and established herself as a Varsity runner with her great race at Cedar. All that and her brother is coming home from his mission this week (welcome back Jeff; XC 4 EVER!).
Good job Casey and Megan, you guys are doing great.
