Great job at the 24th race and thanks for everyone who helped with Summer Club. Now we head into camp and the last couple weeks of summer.

Purpose of the Week's Workouts: This week's workouts. We call this week the "Transition to SWEP" - Speed With Endurance Process. SWEP is a pretty big workout stage for us, so please try and be to each practice and get each workout in. Because of camp, we just kind of transition into it a little this week.

TAKE A LOOK AT THE WORKOUTS AND GET YOUR NEW THRESHOLD AND CV PACES FOR TODAY'S WORKOUT!

*Those not attending camp, please get your runs in throughout the week.

Brianna Udy, So. - Coming off a great track season, Brianna has really shown great improvement this summer and put herself into contention for a Varsity spot.
Talmage Wright, So. - Talmage is running very well this summer which along with his growth in leadership has proven him to be a very valuable member of the team for the next few years.
Gaige Borrowman, So. - Gaige has been working very hard to step into a Varsity spot and doing a great job helping others in their progress as well.
Dalton Rector, Jr. - Dalton is new to our team this year and has brought a great example of determination and hard work to the team this summer.

Race Recap:
24th 2 Miler - Good strong runs from everyone who participated in our 24th 2 Miler. Most of you saw good improvements from last year and times that show continued improvement throughout the summer. Zach paced the boys with a strong run and a new course record. Trey wasn't far behind and ran the 3rd fastest time on the course. Overall it was the 2nd fastest time for the boys scorers at this race. For the girls, Adri tied Jessica Hill for the 2nd best time (just 1 sec off of Brinley's record last year). Brinley was just behind Adri and became the first girl to break 12 twice. Brianna ran very strong to place 4th for the girls whose 5 scorer average was just over 2 seconds/runner off of last year's team record. Full results on athletic.net

PVXC Thought of the Week:
"Great leaders inflate the people around the. Poor leaders deflate the people around them."
-Rick Pitino
Many of us have noticed the significant positive change of attitude and environment around our team this summer. So much of that positive environment is coming from all of you who are acting as leaders and uplifting and inflating everyone around you. Everyone keep bringing that positive energy and keep looking to bring up others!
