Grateful to be coaches of an amazing team of awesome athletes! Thanks for the great season. It was so fun to see all the growth. For those that are interested, we'll keep running for the next month'ish, so keep looking for updates on here. And remember, those that are headed down to Nike, keep coming out to practice.
*NEXT YEAR HIGH ALTITUDE CAMP* JULY 17-20 AT JACOB LAKE - make your plans now.
Summer Moratorium will be June 28-July 4
Some other important announcements:
- Nike SW Regional (NXR) - The final total will be $155 if you'd like to pay the full cost right now (includes, bus, hotel, and registration). Final payment due at the end of October. Spots are filled up if you haven't paid your intial $100 (if you would still like to go and haven't paid, talk to Coach Holt and we'll get you on the wait list - first come, first serve).
- Those interested in going to Foot Locker/Eastbay/Champs (whatever else it wants to be called) in California in December, we should start planning that a bit too. We are thinking maybe some parents would like to drive and we can take 15-20 kids who might want to go. Give us some feedback if you want to go (athletes) or may want to help drive/chaperone (parents).
As always, PVXC really did a great job at State. The Hype Squads were unmatched and the team ran well. The girls took 2nd behind Cedar to take home our 9th straight 1st or 2nd place trophy! Leading the way was Brook who took 3rd. She was followed in the Top 10 by Adri in 8th, Kate 9th, and Katie 10th. Emmalle rounded out our scoring with a 17th place finish. While Ma'a took 23rd and Elle finished at 25th place. The girls had a great season and have proudly continued the tradition of this awesome program. The guys finished 4th which extended our streak of top 5 finishes at State to it's 15th year - the 2nd longest in Utah! We were proud to see Trey run an amazing race and finish as the State Champion in a time of 15:26 (the 5th boy individual State Champ in PV history). Also earning All-State honors were Talmage who finished 16th and Porter with his 18th place finish. They were followed by Bridger in 26th, Kyler 27th, Diego 48th, and Dane 57th. The boys team saw a ton of growth this year and has really set itself up for a some continued success to come.

"An XC team will never be great unless it has that one kid that elevates the whole program by being uncompromising. The all-in, 'no matter what, I'm going to be good and we're going to be good' kid changes the whole face of the program."
