After a long winter break (okay... maybe not that long), the distance runners have gotten back into building up some mileage and even some smaller workouts. To help get times/paces for workouts, the team did its first Kosmin Test of the year.
The Kosmin Test was developed by Soviets and is used to give a prediction on 1500 times, which we then calculate to the 1600 which we run in high school. Although we just started using this test last season, it has shown historically (and for us) to be a fairly accurate predictor of current fitness and race capability.
Our first Kosmin of the year produced great results. The goal now, is to use these results to base our workout paces on and go prove up on them!
